Delete Your Account

Permanent removal of your CareCoordinate account and data

You can permanently delete your CareCoordinate account at any time. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Just want to delete some of your data?

You don't have to close your account to remove data. You can delete individual items in the app, or email us to request targeted deletion.

In the app: open the item you want to remove — a medication, appointment, provider, care note, follow-up, action item, document, insurance card, bill, pet, daily visit log, forum post, or chat conversation — and tap/click the delete action. You can also edit your profile, update or remove your phone number, change your email, and turn AI processing on or off in Settings.

By email:if the data you want deleted isn't something you can remove yourself, email [email protected] from the address on file and describe what you'd like removed. We'll verify your identity and complete the request, typically within 30 days.

How to delete your account in the app

  1. Open CareCoordinate and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Open the Data & Privacy section.
  4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

The same path is available in both the iOS app and the web app at carecoordinate.app.

If you've lost access to your account and can't use the in-app flow, email us from the address on file and we will verify your identity and delete your account for you.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is removed from our active systems:

  • Your profile information and login credentials
  • Your care recipient profiles and medical details
  • Medications, care notes, daily visits, and reminders
  • Appointments, providers, and care-team memberships
  • Uploaded documents, photos, and insurance cards
  • AI assistant conversation history
  • Calendar sync mappings stored on your devices
  • Community posts, comments, and reactions you created
  • Subscription billing identifiers (Stripe customer record)

What we may retain

We may retain a limited set of records where we have a legal obligation to do so — for example, audit logs required under HIPAA, financial records required by tax law, and records required to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. These records are stored separately, access-controlled, and deleted when the legal retention period ends. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.

How long it takes

In-app deletion is immediate — your data is removed as soon as you confirm. Email-based requests are completed within 30 days of identity verification, and sooner when possible.

If you're part of a shared care circle

If you own a care circle that has other members: deletion is blocked until you either transfer ownership to another caregiver or remove the other members, so the people you care for don't lose access to shared records without warning.

If you're the only person in your care circle: the circle and everything in it is deleted along with your account.

If you're a caregiver in someone else's circle: your account is permanently deleted, along with the records you personally created — daily visit logs, care notes, follow-ups, action items, recurring tasks, and your forum posts and comments. Records that belong to the circle itself — the care recipient's profile, medications, appointments, providers, and shared documents — are unaffected and remain with the circle owner and remaining caregivers.
